Bear This In Mind!
your consideration, the following are some
Obviously, price is a major consideration for most people. If it is your only basis of comparison of different cleaners, you may be doing yourself a major disservice. All carpet cleaners are NOT alike. It is important to understand what is and is not included in the cleaning service being offered, the type of cleaning method, the type of equipment being used, and the training level and experience of the person actually doing the cleaning. If you only compare the cost, it might be like comparing the cost of a Mercedes with the cost of a Yugo. Both are cars, but they are very, very different. In carpet cleaning, as in many areas, you usually get exactly what you pay for. The lowest bid often represent the lowest quality of service.
Who Will Do The Work?
We recommend that you should ask the cleaning company you choose to tell you the name of the person who will actually be cleaning your carpets or upholstery, and what their level of training and experience is. If you choose Teddy Bear, you get an experienced, Certified cleaning technician. Another company may send a new or less experienced employee, someone who may not have any vested interest in the quality or success of the job, or in your satisfaction. At Teddy Bear, we have to do a good job - it is our sole occupation, and our reputation is our livelihood. Ask for and check with our references! We are proud of the fact that we are the only carpet cleaning firm in this area that is being recommended by six different area carpet retailers.
What Is Their Level Of Training, Knowledge, And Skill?
Our staff has been trained and certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration. The owner, Matt Taylor, is Certified by the IICRC as a Master Textile Cleaner, one of a very small number of professionals in New England who have earned this designation. Matt holds certification in Water Damage Restoration, Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Odor Control, Carpet Dying and Carpet Repair and Reinstallation. Few other cleaners in New England have been so well trained. Our commitment to improving our technical skills through continuing education is the foundation of a job well done and your assurance of a well balanced cleaning.
What Kind Of Cleaning Equipment Will They Use?
Teddy Bear owns and operates several different cleaning systems designed to meet virtually any cleaning situation. Too often companies use only one method and become a "One size fits all" cleaner. As you probably know, cleaning situations can differ from home to home and even room to room so having many different systems on hand gives Teddy Bear a clear advantage when it comes to having the right one for you. We offer a complete range of cleaning services from traditional "Steam Cleaning" with a state-of-the-art van powered Butler system to the host "Dry Carpet Cleaning" system where you'll find your carpets ready to use immediately following cleaning.
Do They Use My Hot Water Or Electricity?
Some cleaners do use your hot water and/or electricity - which means their cleaning is costing you more than just the price on the bill. Teddy Bear does not do this. We have a 100 gallon fresh water tank in the van; the pre-softened water is heated up to 195 degrees in an onboard heat exchanger, which utilizes hot engine coolant as the heat source. (Most household water heaters only go up to 140 degrees.) Power to run the water pump and vacuum blower comes through a direct drive shaft off the van motor. Our van also carries a 100 or 200 gallon waste water tank, which is emptied regularly at a waste water treatment facility.
Do They Guarantee Their Work?
What happens after your cleaner is gone, along with your check? If you have a problem or concern, will they return your call? We guarantee our work to your satisfaction. If you have a spot return or an area that you feel should have come out better, we will promptly return and address the problem. Here's our guarantee as it's written on every invoice.
TEDDY BEAR Guarantees that your cleaning is really CLEAN.
Even with the most modern equipment, the best technicians and high quality methods, once in a while a little extra work is required. If you feel that an area, spot or item might benefit from a little more work on our part, please don't hesitate to ask. We will, in most cases, be checking back with you a few days after your cleaning to see how things are holding up. Please let us know at that time if you'd like a "touch-up" or contact us within two weeks of the cleaning to schedule one. I want you to be completely satisfied with our work so please don't hesitate to contact me personally if there is any concern.
